Love and hope is expressed most purely through the unselfish acts of kids. On Thursday, December 13, 2007, through their hard work and love, by opening their hearts to the needs of the less fortunate, the fourth grade students of Kensington Park Elementary School gave of themselves, to their own, other KIDS and displayed that pure love and hope of the season. With the guidance and support of their teacher, Ms. Lissett Muniz, the fourth grade students in the weeks leading up to the 2007 Holiday Season collected books and toys, including many of their own so children less fortunate could enjoy their holidays too, with gifts of books to read and toys to play with.

On behalf of the kids at Jackson Memorial/Holtz Children’s Hospital and those that spent their Holidays at the Community Partnership for the Homeless, we thank teacher Lissett Muniz for her leadership and the important lesson she shared with us all. To the fourth graders; thank you for sharing your own books and toys so other kids can enjoy them too, you did a good thing. Through your hard work we were able to deliver over 250 books and toys to children in the hospital and homeless shelter. Thank you!

The Miami Dade Justice Association is honored you selected us to assist in distributing your student’s gifts.
