On April 22, 2003, Art Garcia, Miami-Dade Justice Association Director, joined by Yara Garcia, Executive Director, their daughter, Megan (student @ St. Thomas Aquinas High School) and a talented group of young students and future leaders of our community from Monsignor Pace High School brought Easter baskets and Spring cheer to the children of Jackson Memorial Hospital’s oncology unit.

Accompanied by the Easter Bunny (Jorge Lorenzo-Class of 2003), Easter baskets filled with toys and treats were distributed to children of all ages. Jorge D. Lorenzo, fondly referred to as J.D., (recently started college and aspires to obtain a juris doctorate degree) bounced about the unit distributing baskets, juices, cupcakes and good cheer. The Miami-Dade Justice Association is committed to its KIDS’ program – Kindness in Daily Service – and thanks the young members of our community for their assistance.
