Habitat Project, April 20, 2002

On Saturday, April 20, 2002, Miami-Dade Justice Association’s members and friends got together in Little River, Miami-Dade County, on a beautiful South Florida day. Our volunteers were such that Habitat divided us in two grouped of seven. Miami-Dade Justice Association volunteers worked on not one, but two homes! Overhead trees were cut enabling workers to climb up on roofs, trash was disposed of by the barrel, wood was measured and cut for much needed window bucks, ceiling strips were cut, placed and nailed in position. Thanks to the many talents of our members Art Garcia, Alex Reboso, Susan Carlson, Barbara Green, Roy Wasson, John Spiegel, Eric Jacobs and Garrett Biondo, and our dedicated Miami-Dade Justice Association friends, Eddie Lorenzo, Steve Ricci, Andrea Obregon, Tommy Davis, Maxine Davis, Yara Garcia and Bette Ricci (whose refreshments are a welcomed break).
